A-FITS Mesa

Mesa Campus at a Glance

The Mesa Campus includes 7 classrooms, a sensory gym, a multipurpose room, and a secure fenced outdoor play area designed to support academics, Sensory Integration, recreation, social development, and student activities.

The campus extends the A-FITS small-school model into the East Valley while maintaining the same individualized educational framework used throughout our organization.

The A-FITS Program at Mesa

Mesa students have access to FITS Learning™, High Functioning Autism Programming, Functional Academic Programming, Structured Teaching, Individualized Learning Plans, Speech and Occupational Therapy, School Based ABA, Sensory Integration, Social-Emotional Learning, executive-functioning support, FITS Life™, FITS Experience™, FITS Beyond™, FITS Forward™, clubs and enrichment, life-skills development, transition planning, and community and independence development.

Students are not placed into one predetermined academic model simply because they have an autism diagnosis. Programming is developed around the individual student.

Enrollment & Availability

Mesa has generated strong family interest.

Enrollment depends on appropriate program placement and available classroom capacity. A-FITS cannot reserve seats without completion of required admissions and enrollment documentation.

When classrooms reach capacity, families may be placed on a waitlist and contacted when an appropriate opening becomes available.

Families interested in Mesa are encouraged to begin the admissions process early.

RISE Extended School Day

RISE provides before- and after-school programming for families who need support outside the traditional school day.

Students can participate in recreation, activities, social interaction, and decompression in a familiar A-FITS environment. Availability should be confirmed with the campus.

Lunch

Families provide lunch for their child. A-FITS does not participate in the federal school lunch program.

Students may bring a prepared cold or sack lunch, and microwaves are available for meals requiring heating.

Parent & Classroom Communication

ClassDojo is used for classroom communication with families. Parents should contact their child's teacher for the appropriate classroom connection information.

The A-FITS Parent Portal provides enrolled families with access to available school information and parent resources.

Campus Calendar

Mesa follows its own campus calendar. Families should use Mesa-specific communications and the Parent Portal when planning around school breaks, holidays, half-days, professional development, campus events, closures, and schedule changes.
