Autism F.I.T.S. Academy is a Cognia-accredited private autism school.

For families, accreditation is more than a badge on a website. It represents an independent review of our school, our leadership, our educational practices, and our commitment to continually improving the experience and outcomes of the students we serve.

Our students may learn differently. Our expectations for the quality of their education should not be different.

What Is Cognia Accreditation?

Cognia is an international nonprofit organization that provides accreditation, certification, assessment, and improvement services to schools and educational organizations.

The accreditation process examines how effectively an organization operates, how leadership supports learning, how resources are used, how the school evaluates its performance, and how it works toward continuous improvement.

Why Accreditation Matters

Families choosing a specialized private school should be able to expect both individualization and educational quality.

Specialized education should never mean lowering expectations. At A-FITS, we can adapt how a student learns without lowering the importance of meaningful instruction, measurable progress, effective leadership, responsible operations, and strong educational practices.

Individualized Doesn't Mean Unstructured

A-FITS was created because we believe education should adapt to the learner. That flexibility is one of our greatest strengths—but individualized education still needs structure, purpose, and accountability.

Every accommodation should ultimately serve a purpose: helping the student access learning, develop meaningful skills, and make progress.

Continuous Improvement Is Part of Our Culture

We don't believe a school ever reaches a point where it should stop asking how it can improve.

As A-FITS grows, we continually evaluate our educational programs, student supports, leadership practices, staff development, campus operations, family experience, and student outcomes.

Accreditation Across A-FITS

Whether a student attends Glendale, Scottsdale/PV, or Mesa, families should experience the same core A-FITS philosophy: individualized learning, integrated support, meaningful student experiences, preparation for greater independence, and a place to belong.

What Accreditation Does Not Change

Accreditation doesn't make A-FITS more traditional—and we don't want it to.

Our classrooms can still look different. Our students can still learn differently. Our teachers can still individualize.

Accreditation gives us standards to uphold. It doesn't require our students to become standardized.

Our Commitment to Families

When a family entrusts A-FITS with their child's education, we accept a significant responsibility. Our responsibility is not simply to provide a place for that student to attend school. It is to continually work toward providing an education worthy of that trust.

Because the students we serve deserve nothing less.

“Committed Today. Stronger Tomorrow.”
